Yesterday my friends Sandy, Shez and I headed off to Narre Warren East for a wonderful day of stitching with Gail Pan and Ramona Hermann -
These were the four patterns we received on the day - two from each designer. A framed picture with a sewing theme from Gail, as well as a table runner, and from Ramona a stitching pocket designed to showcase a favourite piece of fabric and a clock for the sewing room. All lovely, and I will be making all of these at some stage. Plus there were lots of other goodies in our bags.
Our two talented, fun designers.
Was that the naughty end of the table - Shez and Maria
Lots of talking, lots of laughing and a little sewing
I have a "special" birthday coming up this week - Maria made me the most beautiful cake and the most gorgeous bear.
How spoilt was I?
And just because I love Christmas (surprise, surprise) these are some of the gorgeous projects out of Gail's new xmas book.
I had the best day - can't wait to stitch my new projects. I would show you what I stitched on the day, but it's a bit hard to see lol. Cheryl

What I've Been Up To
Now I know it has been a couple of weeks since my last blog post, but I have been busy, busy - lots of visitors and family things on, so not a lot of stitching to show you I'm afraid -
But I did make this little sewing set for my lovely friend, Karen's special birthday. It is a Gail Pan design. I really liked how it turned out, so must make another set for myself.
Am busy working on a couple of SAL projects at the moment - Anni's "Natures Journey" and "Nine Patches and Snowballs" , so hopefully some progress photos on those in the next couple of days. Cheryl

A New Pincushion and SAL Progress
My lovely friend Karen from Brisbane, whom I will finally get to meet in April, sent me a lovely surprise parcel in the mail last week - she is very naughty for spoiling me for no reason, but I was thrilled when I opened it.
How gorgeous is my new Easter bunny pincushion - he is the cutest. Karen knows I love pincushions and I think she has contributed four to my lovely collection in the background.
There was more in my gorgeous parcel - her and I share a love of Christmas. In fact our tastes are very similar in lots of things. Karen also sent me a lovely set of Lynette Anderson stitcheries called "Magical Christmas" But I will show you them next time as I'm busy tracing them all at the moment. Thankyou dear friend for my gorgeous surprise parcel - which I just LOVED. you know me too well.
I have also joined in with Terry of Terry's Treasures blog for a SAL "Snowballs and Nine Patches", though I have to admit to lagging a bit behind -
I have been raiding my stash as I decided a scrappy look was what I wanted, so I've been cutting lots of 2-1/2 in strips. This has been the slow part and now that I have lots cut and sewn together, I hope to catch up a bit.
My nine patches are coming together. Now to get moving on the snowball blocks.
