Well at this time of year there is always lots of secret stitching happening, but I do have some progress to show on a couple of things I have been stitching away at -
Block 7 of FignBerry's block of the month "The Night Before Christmas" is done.
Block 8 is well underway, with the final block 9 due any day, so I'm keen to get this one finished.
And this is the latest block I've been working on for the Autumn Harvest project in lovely wools. A few berries to add (they are tiny - I keep losing them) and this block is done.
And just one sneak peak of some secret xmas sewing. Hope you are all getting some sewing time also. Cheryl

Stitching Soiree
Off to Melbourne last Saturday for another adventure. This time the Stitching Soiree with Lisa from FignBerry Creations and Melissa from One Day in May. Two in a week I can hear you say. Yes I know, but they were both fantastic. And this one was Christmas themed which we all know is my favourite stitching subject.
LOVED all the projects - here's the girls showing Lisa's cute felt decorations.
t\This is one of Lisa's called "Christmas" for which we received the pre-printed and threads for and is the one I worked on for the day.
Loved these also - the other two projects from Lisa. The "Bauble Table Centre" I think will be the next one I tackle. Bought the kit as I love the fabrics and colourway.
But this could be the next project lol - Melissa's "Sweet Treats" bowl was gorgeous and I'm sorry about the blurry photo. My camera was playing up as several of the photos with the girls and friends have not worked.
And "Sandy's Swinging Elves" was the second of Melissa's patterns and could be used as decorations or joined together via a button on the back and used as one long hanger. Very cute and named after my friend Sandy.
And lastly this lovely table runner which I did get to trace on the day so ready for stitching when time permits.
Lovely friends stitching, or is that chatting.
and lovely Karen who actually achieved quite a lot.
And I was very good - I only bought a couple of small kits to go with our projects and the pattern for this lovely new quilt of Lisa's "Christmas Carols" -

Part 2 of a Wonderful Day
Just a couple more piccies from my wonderful stitching day last Saturday with Lisa from FignBerry Creations, Melissa from One Day in May and Leanne from Petals and Patches. Was truly one of the best days, so just had to share a little more.
Lots of beautiful inspiration. Leanne's "Teacups and Butterflies".
Loved Lisa's beautiful Christmas quilts, and oh so very tempted to tackle this one.
Melissa's gorgeous projects.
More of Lisa's beautiful Christmas projects.
I was lucky enough to win the last of the lucky draws for the day. I was very excited - not one but five of Leanne's gorgeous Christmas patterns. Woo hoo.
Well I will keep it short and sweet. I am finding that there are less and less people commenting on my blog and was wondering if others are finding the same. I guess everyone is so busy and an hour or two blogging is becoming a bit of a luxury. Stitching progress next time I promise. Cheryl

A Wonderful Day
I had the BEST day yesterday - a wonderful workshop at Quilters Harvest in Warracknabeal with wonderful tutors, great company and some gorgeous projects I will enjoy stitching.
Melissa from One Day in May, Leanne from Petals and Patches and Lisa from FignBerry - all favorites of mine.
Our projects for the day were amazing - Melissa's table runner on the left and the most gorgeous needlecase and sewing roll and Lisa's lovely sewing room wallhanging on the right.
Leanne's projects included the most beautiful three dimensional butterfly which she showed us how to put together. It has a magnet on the bottom so will stick to a jar with a metal lid - perfect for pins or buttons. Her other projects included this beautiful mug bag with stitchery around the outside. It came with a little stitched bag to hold a couple of teabags and matching coaster.
This was also Leanne's project - a very cute wallhanging for the laundry
Lisa's projects included this most gorgeous sewing pocket and matching pincushion, which was the project I mainly stitched on the day.
This wallhanging was also Lisa's - loved the cute little stitched rabbits in this one.
Very spoilt indeed with our beautiful projects. Lots more photos, but that is probably enough for one sitting, so will show you some more next post. Cheryl

Workshop Stitching
I have been diligently stitching away on some of our projects from "Stitch in Spring" at Port Campbell recently. Must say I am enjoying all the projects. And as I have three more lovely workshops in the next couple of months (whoo hoo) I need to have my head down stitching. My progress so far -
Finished my stitchery for Natalie's "Ellie Tote". Love this project and there are still a few elements to complete before putting it together - needleturn and some hexies.
I have started stitching one of Leanne's projects also -
Her shoe bag, and there is a lingerie bag to match. The colour pencil technique was fun and quick to do.
I did do just a little retail therapy while I was there. I have many of Leanne's and Natalie's pattern, so just picked up some lovely hand dyed wool for my Autumn wool project -
And maybe a couple of little pieces of fabric. Cheryl
